3 different sickness ?

Welcome to BYC, sorry your chicks are sick. Are they too hot, just right, or too cold?

Good questions asked by my friends. If the brooder hot zone isn't too hot, shouldn't be above 90F, then you may be looking at a toxin. It's not uncommon for folks to use well water for their chicks. Sometimes, if the water is high in iron, bacteria can bond to the iron and cause bacterial infection in vulnerable chicks.

We have city water so I wouldn’t think that would be the issue. I know casualties will happen but this is our first hatch so a bit bummed about 3 of 22 showing sick symptoms. The Easter egger has showed quite a bit of improvement since nutri drench and other remedies. I have researched for ours and wish the little devils could just tell me what’s wrong lol mommy doesn’t like sick babies

Pasty butt? Look at them..

The Silkie is the only one that has had pasty butt and I addressed it several days before it’s started this sneezing and icky eye. I’m clueless lol other than sometimes they just get sick. But the EE I didn’t think would make it over night and is now on day 4 of recovering

Ok, I can try this. The whole top is wire but I never thought about it needing to pass through. I was more worried about keeping heat in around all 4 edges
