Okay I am in I am not sure what this is but i am setting 8 duck eggs on the 4th. I am still new to this site so what are the rules? How does this work?

On a seperate note:

I got an egg today!!!!

A nice little black split to birchen cochin egg. I'll be hanging lights tomorrow to see if I can get the rest of the gang to join in and take the hint.

Since I like to be as natural as possible here I will be turning the lights off after the hatch and letting my girls take a break for the rest of the winter until spring. I think they deserve a break after all their hard work through the breeding season, don't you guys agree.

There will be tons of fun stuff going on during the hatch, like contests and everything. Just fill out the form in the first post of the thread when you know what you will be setting.

Okay I filled out the form. I hope by then I get better at this incubating thing. It is my first time and I have 2 chick eggs due today and I saw a wiggle this after noon and now nothing so I don't know what to do but wait and if they don't come out by Saturday I am going in.

When you know how many eggs you are setting you fill out the form. I know I won't be posting on the form until the last minute. I have my home made incubator that I need to fill and will be trying to gather eggs from everyplace that I know. I now have 6 turners in there that hold 41 eggs each.
