4 day old constantly opening and closing beak Help!!!

A chick needs energy reserves for an antibiotic to work, and this chick appears to be past that point where it has any.

If this chick were still standing, eyes open, able to still drink water at least, I would give it a shot of Poultry Nutri-drench to start its little engine, and then put it on an antibiotic.

When my baby chick last summer reached a point where it could not drink, the water running out of its beak instead of going down into its crop, I knew it was past saving.

The quickest and most painless way to euthanize a chick is to cut the head off with some sharp shears. It's instant death.

:hugs Sadly it's something we all must do at some point when raising animals, reality  If I recall this post was in another forum, moved to this. It's been several days this chick has been this way, or am I mixing it up with another?

The baby just died on its own, we buried it in a grave with some flowers. Thanks everyone for your help it was much appreciated.
