4 wk old EE chick strange eye?!

See photos... just noticed this EEs eyes today. They almost look like they’re spaced out weird. But they are red. He’s the only one in a flock of 20 babies. No other symptoms. Any ideas?

Have the eyes alway been like that or have they just started looking that way? That looks like conjunctivitis, and can be a sign of mycoplasma or MG. Sunken eye is typical of the disease, but I would think that testing would be needed to confirm that. I have had some chickens who have shown more conjunctiva in their eyes.

Honestly I don’t ever remember it red but I feel like it’s always been “different”. And really it kind of looks like it was just the coloring of the eyelids. Because she seems to have really fair feathering around that area. But tonight when I sat down in the brooder with them they seem to strike me as different in a bad way for the first time. And there are no other symptoms from her. Eating and drinking normally. She’s growing like a weed. Just bothers me that they are red now... maybe dust irritation?
