400 chickens STOLEN!

English chick, it is so easy to get on a soap box these days. The murders I mentioned were committed by an illegal who had been deported once before. Even the news anchors were shaking their heads over this crime--- a no-brainer. It sounds as if the prosecutor was incompetent since he didn't call a single witness.

We live in a farm area of wonderful neighbors who for generations were born and die here. Lately, some new people moving in bring the city problems with them. Meth has changed our entire culture here. Thieves boldly steal anhydrous ammonia from farmers. I love my neighborhood though, and the people.

Country lady, Here in MO, we are the Meth capitol of Missouri. Not a good name to hold. It scares the dickens out of me raising a 12 and 14 year old in that sort of environment but beside all that, the area is beautiful and peaceful and honestly the kids are raised by the whole town. If your kids are into something EVERYONE knows and the word is back to you before the kiddos get home! THAT is nice!!!

The laws in the UK must be a lot different than here in the US. Look at the guy in Texas who killed the robbers for stealing his neighbors property. Here in Ohio they have passed the Castle Amendment that states you can protect yourself and property. I know if it where me and I knew something was going on I would be headed out packing a couple of weapons.

The laws here are I think very different.....some years ago a farmer (a quiet man lived alone) was repeatedly robbed at home.....they came back, this time he was waiting, with his shotgun, they broke in yet again he shot one of them.....if my memory serves me correctly he did over sevens years for defending himself...then the other robber tried to sue him for damages!!! The farmers name was Tony Martin his case was in all the UK newspapers at the time. Here we are only allowed to use "reasonable force" to defend ouselves, we are not allowed to maim or kill anyone! What would you say resonable force was?

That is a tough question I don't have an answer for. I don't know how things work there. I used to be that way around here but things have been changing. In the city guns are not a common thing unless you are a robber. Out here in the country you pretty much do what you have to to defend yourself, although crime is scarce. We still don't lock our doors and livestock is not touched. Folks just know not to mess.

I must add we now have a conceal Carry permit that is easy to get unless you have a record. I got mine in a 12 hour class. I still don't carry but I can if I want.

Wow..... 400 chickens......gone......without a trace.......sounds fishy. Must take a lot of practice to become a soundless chicken thief. YOu all keep them jokers over there.

We have a great security system for our property....It contains 1 short legged beagle, 2 mean guineas and 3 girls with a shotgun and Dad and Mom to back them up. Go ahead, thief, come on over.
