4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

oh I didn't mean LF cochin specifically, I need some LF dual purpose birds. Preferably BA or Delawares, but at this point I will take whatever I can get for cheap. The bantam cochins were a bit of an impulse buy, I really should have bought some layers instead.

How about that?! I fell into the Banty Cochin trap as week, but LOVE them. They are great broodys.

:yesss:  Dad sold 2 of our roos today, so now I know I'll have plenty of room for new babies. Here's hoping we can build the grow out pen here soon so I can keep cycling them around. No one stays in a cage for long.
Raz: I am really hoping that one if those two was the guy keeping you out of your coop!

Lives2 hope: Welcome aboard!

Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was just two of our young game roos. Red the evil roo will be taken care of today though. We're dealing with his two inch long spurs and hopefully getting him under control.

I can get you 12 large fowl layer mix eggs for $6 plus shipping. Depending on where you are shipping would be $6-10.

The flock is 2nd-4th generation barred rocks, buff orp, tetra tint, red star, & probably a couple other layer breeds all running together & interbreeding. There are some really pretty birds in the mix. Even a blue hen no one seems to know where came from. Eggs from these girls are HUGE!!! Egg color ranges from light brown to almost chocolate.

How are you dealing with the spurs? I have one rooster with 3 inch sprus, they are massive! He's not friendly but he's not mean either. He just always makes me nervous.

Why is this forum such a pain? Try to sign up for this Hatch A Long and it doesnt work. Try to place a wanted ad for eggs and it doesnt work. Try to PM someone to figure out the problem and that doesnt work. Can PM other people no problems, post here no problem. What is up?

Since I cant put an ad in the right place maybe someone here can help.
