Well day 3 1/2 i decided to candle tonight and all 17 regular flock is all veining and looking great. Unfortunately the 3 silkie egg do not look fertile. Dsng roosters needa step up or step put ant ill replace with one that will. I havr yet to see either the old or the young silkie roo mount my silkie hen or the silkie/cochin cross. Dang it. I thought they would go to town on them.

Just candled my west coast trekking Lemon Blue Bantam Cochin eggs......of the 12 that were shipped from CA to AK then back CA by accident...................


HALF ARE DEVELOPING!! That is 6 out of 12 eggs with strong veining. I still have hope for a few others that seem as if the yolks are getting darker instead of just looking clear. We will see how they turn out! I may very well lose some because of the crazy journey they had to take to get from breeder to me (btw I apparently only live an hour away from the breeder) but even just ONE chick would be amazing and a CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!
