X2. I have both the 20 and the 50 and LOVE them. My 10 little babies are snuggled under the ecoglow right now. Love that I never have to use a heat lamp and that their current 'brooder' is my large cat/dog crate - perfect for chicks unless you have to hang a big honking heat lamp.
Plus, no fire hazard and uses less energy. Oh, and chicks sleep at night and don't panic when it gets dark! 
How adorable!So I haven't seen my chicks in a long time now. Why? 'cause I gave them a Nesquick container to crawl into and feel safe inside, and they like it! It has paper towel on the bottom so it's soft and they can get their footing in there. So it occurred to me I can check on them with my camera, so I took a picture inside and there they were, happily cuddled up

You do have quite a few! Do you know how many chickens I have.....less than 40!!! Can you believe that! LOL I'm cutting way back on the chickens, and collecting waterfowl instead! TeeHee! LOL
What a sweet baby! He hatched almost on 12:00!!
I know it's tough to read, but the cell phone says 12:03. This is how close I came to midnight with a pip. Head, wings, chest, and one foot out, LOL. Seems like he's content to just sit there now for the past 10 minutes, so I'm leaving him be and call it a night. No hatch on the dot, but pretty close and 2 more pips showed up, so the hatch progresses!

's first chick for me.
The others started yesterday and all but one hatched. One hatching now.
This one isn't real wet so I think if hatched shortly after I fell asleep. That was a little after 12. Should have stayed up just a bit longer. They are in my bathroom so I can't believe it didn't wake me.
Here is when they started yesterday.
3 black and blue that was stuck to the shell. One more black in first pic for 5.
I use an almost "dry" hatch method and normally start getting pips at day 18. they are always developed, just early. I knew they would prob all hatch yesterday.

Look at the babies! Getting jealous over here....My first official NYD hatch! Born at 1:05, but we couldn't get hubby's cell phone to stay on so it took until 1:07 to take the pic so 1:07 it is. Not a contender, but I still wanted to post! First Canadian NYD chick by chance?

Mine started pipping on day 19 and by yesterday evening we had 14 hatched, 4 pipped. Hoped for a midnight hatch but of course no one hatched around then so we. went to bed about one o'clock and woke up this morning to two more hatched and 4 pipped.
I hope everyone enjoyed the hatcha-long as much as my wife and I did. I didn't read all of the post but I read a lot. Congratulations to all that won the different contest!

NN are growing on me..so sweet!Here's my 10 NN babies.. Not great, but better than average percentage for shipped eggs (16 eggs). They are under an ecoglow so had to pull them out to get a picture. =)

just a reference- this is to show y'all how small the runt is. the one on the left is actually twice as big as the middle one, the middle one is a bantam. (fairly small bantam),the black one is the size of a quarter maybe smaller.

Thank you everyone who watched his hatching with me to confirm his time. Little dude was in too much of a hurry though, and hatched at 11:30.

None of my turkey eggs have hatched yet which really has me bummed! But I seem to be going small to large eggs in hatch order.

If it's drying out you may need to help it out. There is really 2 membranes: one around the chick and the outer one. The outer one, just under the shell, is okay to peel away. It's the one around the chick you have to watch. If it is dry you can use a q-tip to moisten it. That way you can see if there are an blood vessels still visible. If there aren't, you can help it out some if it's not making much progress. Just go slowly and see any blood stop immediately and replace in the incubator.
I'm having the opposite problem.. my humidity is trying to hover at 70%, but my temp has dropped to 97... :/

I was going to make one before mine hatched but I was too late to find cookie canisters (which is what I was going to use) So I have that Nesquick box kind of doing the job (keeps away any drafts and makes them feel safe) However, they'll outgrow that in a week... gotta come up with something else 'cause I'm glad they feel safe and warm, and would like them to continue to have that
