Guess who just started Laying a couple days ago? My Silkie!! There pullett eggs and they are fertilized(more than likely.) and i've read that you can hatch pullett eggs! So woohooh! She has been laying for 4 days now, She hasn't missed a day! So now i will have some silkie eggs for my hatch. If they hatch they will be beautiful. The Daddy is and EE/Ameraucana. He is my profile pic. But that was about 4-5 months ago when i took that. But still!!! Im so excited!!!

Well, got my eggs in time for the hatch, so looks like I'll be joining after all!

I'll be setting 18 serama eggs. They are booted, silkied, frizzled, and smooth, so all feather types found in seramas!

So excited!

Looks like I won't be joining after all, wasn't planning on more than a dozen Polish eggs but they have stopped laying all together

This is sapose to be the next step down but still really good .. I havent found anyone that has tried that one eather , I wnt to try one of those really bad lol I love candleing seeing the babies move and the heartbeats

I have the second one. I prefer my Mini Maglight better.

That's impressive! I would love to know who you got the eggs from. I wonder if they have anything I'd be interested in. Hmmm....

They came from luckypickens. That's her user name on both here and ebay. She has tons of colors of Cochin bantams as well as Rhode Island Red bantams, Silver Penciled Rock bantams, Partridge Whyndottes bantams, Dominique bantams and a few others. I know she has Large fowl as well, I'm just not sure what breeds. I in particular really love her silver laced cochin bantams, but they aren't currently laying. The eggs I just received are buff barred cochin bantams.

Before ordering, I did my research and found that multiple people have gotten 100% hatch rates from her shipped eggs. I can hardly get 100% with my own eggs!

You could probably email her asking her what breeds she has, she's really nice and will usually put together special orders. I highly recommend her as a seller.

I guess that makes sense, lol. You should contact them and explain what happened, and they *should* send you a new one, free of charge. When the turner motor crapped out on my Genesis 1588, GQF shipped a new motor to me immediately, completely free of charge and I didn't have to pay shipping or anything. Awesome customer service there.

I ordered the same ones (the Silver Penciled Rocks) but no Cochins. The second type I have coming are his White Crested Black Polish (super excited about those ones). I won't be keeping most of these chicks though, they are going to friends (I just wanted a lot to hatch). I also have some nice wheaten/blue wheaten Ameraucana eggs that are *hopefully* going to be in tomorrow's mail from a forum member here...I think they're lost in the mail though (not the forum member, but the eggs, lol).

The first batch I ordered from her didn't work out so well, out of 14 eggs, 9 had ruptured air cells and the remaining 5 had severely dislocated air cells (very well packaged eggs, the cause was rough handling on the post office's part). I was only able to get 1 to hatch. I told her this and she sent another batch free of charge which turned out a lot better, but still a lot of dislocated air cells. For this batch, I mentioned that hopefully these will get a better ride, and she offered to double box them which made all the difference. It may help if you request the double boxing in the first place. I'll be ordering more eggs from her this spring.
