Still nothing in my eggs. Not very many eggs made it either. 12 out of 40 quail eggs, plus only 2 duck eggs out of 9, and seems like half of the chicken eggs. I pulled 17 more eggs from other hatches as well. I put a new ad up looking for a new drake and I'm finally starting to feel human again, though my lungs are still full of junk.

Lots of activity on the hatch cam I guess the buttons wanted to hatch in the wee hours of the night.

My son just handed me our little female button and she looks like she has some sort of prolapse

I have no idea how you fix that in a tiny little button .

This is so fun. I just watched one go up to that green up front, and peck and peck at it like it was saying, hey, time to come out and play! It's great out here!

Im sorry you had to pull so many , did you see the babies on the cam lol there funny little buggers. How are the serama babies doing.

My 8 month old is having a grand time in the snow! After watching him suffer through the heat this summer with all that hair, I'm glad to see him happy!

That's a wonderful picture, karimw! And congrats on all the cheepers! I didn't get my eggs set until late, so hatch day for me is actually Jan. 2. I'll be enjoying everybody else's new babies while waiting to see how many of mine make it

Everyone is talking about their chicks pipping already and their eggs rocking and rolling and mine are just laying there like slugs. We saw a bit of movement in 2 of them yesterday right after lockdown, but nothing has moved since and there are NO noises at all. I know there were chicks in them. I hope I didn't drown them by raising the humidity too high or something. I'm feeling sad

Dont worry. They cold have moved while you werent looking. I think they secretly know when to wiggle so they arent noticed. Some breeds also take a little longer, and bator temps also play a large roll in the time it takes. I dont think high humidity would kill them so quickly. More like if the humidity was too high for like a week and a half or so and the fluid hasnt had time to leave the egg or something. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and sending good thoughts your way!!

I have Cortnix and the poor things, keep getting thumped in the head, boy are they hardy, with holes in their skulls (I seperated them) I'm selling them pretty eggs, not my thing.
OH NO I'm scaring the guests away.

Cots are easy! You might keep them if you are downsizing. They sell surprisingly well as a side business, they are not only my #1 selling bird , but my #1 money maker bird. 8 weeks till eggs or other uses ( well, 6-10 they freak out easily so if you buy them and move them, no eggs for 2 weeks or so) And you can use their poo to breed chicken treats and visa versa if you do BSF. ( some people will argue that, but its worked for me) Buttons freaked me out and mine will NOT breed or lay eggs, I am trying to rehome them. They are very popular and hard to find here however, if I could make them work I could sell hundreds. Grr at you buttons.

In fact gabe, do you advertise your button at the places they sell stuff for big avairies? I bet people would love them from you and your son. They are great for keeping parrot cages clean, there are lot of crazy parrot people in your neck of the woods.

I have my first chick out.... I even set late...after 6pm. First out...a white Silkie.

I think I may have to take them out lol they seem to take up so much room in the bator they didnt as tiny little eggs. I have at least one pip though so Im worried about opening the bator. And Im worried about that water well in the middle I forgot to block it off on lockdown again . I could smack brinsea for not sending my cover back when they fixed my bator for me.
