I've got a humidifier going, and a pot of water boiling, and we leave the door to the shower open and let that go through the house... it's still dry dry dry.... I have a very large house with a lot of open space and vaulted ceilings... I actually have a wet flat cloth diaper over my face, so I'm breathing in more humidity than the air has... granted I've got the flu, and am pregnant, so I can't DO a lot about it right now.. I've been hanging with the chicks extra because that room is warmer and more humid.

Flu and pregnant sounds like misery; hope you feel better soon!

2 chicks hatched overnight, and I have 1 in the brooder. 1 more has pipped and is working on hatching. The one in the brooder had a huge piece of shell stuck on his back and he wasn't drying off, so we helped get the shell off and put him in the brooder.

Thank you very much. But im afraid i lost 2 already. the one tht pippes first is not moving or chirping anymore and in tht had a small pip hasnt done anything period.

Oh my goodness... my silly little silver chick won't let me pet the other chicks! I put my hand in to pet the other chicks, and she runs over and pushes her way between my hand and the other chic, so I'm petting her instead. XD
My silkie is funny... she doesn't like to stand up, and just moves when she has to... and so the yellow chick runs over to her and is standing tall, and the silkie stretches her neck up, and she's taller SITTING than the yellow one is standing up, and this makes the yellow one back down. xD
