Any discount codes for Brinsea anyone knows about?
ok!!! thanks! They hatch late with the new style because a bunch of the Geneses's did not keep the incubator at the correct temp. The old style has rocker buttons to adjust it and it is set at the factory at the correct temperature.
Use the spot check to make sure the temperature is correct and follow the instructions for adjusting.
With the old style, I would incubate the fist batch and adjust based on hatch results. I will help you with that. I have done this quite a bit before.
ok!!! thanks!
I just did a lot of 'looking up' on the Brinsea Mini Advance....I may take a shot at that....we aren't looking to hatch tons of eggs, just a few to go with the ones we have now....
I read good reviews on it....im just worried it wont ship right or it wont keep the temperature or the thermometer wont work.... could you help me if I get it?
I may be over thinking it....prob easier than I expect!! haha
So if I did get eggs....I can collect them from Ed until 10 days before incubating...correct? so the eggs I collect do I save them in the fridge or on the counter?
the date is coming so fast im worried I may not be able to make it and set it up and get out the kinks.... if I can even do the hatch!!!
ok, so do I pit the eggs evenly in the middle as I collect them? the book will help move it around so it doesn't get bad correct? if I do this, all fertile eggs sould be guaranteed to hatch?Collect yours eggs and put them in an egg carton on the counter. Put a book under one end of the carton and switch sides 2-3 times a day.
Look at the scratch and dent section, decent discount!
I just put mine on one end and fill it up. The book concept is to keep them from sticking to one side. No, this does not guarantee 100% hatch rate. A lot of factors go into consideration when determining hatch rates. I recommend keeping them in a basement if you can. You want them cool but not refrigerator cool.ok, so do I pit the eggs evenly in the middle as I collect them? the book will help move it around so it doesn't get bad correct? if I do this, all fertile eggs sould be guaranteed to hatch?
