6 DEGREES IN GEORGIA - WOW!

This is a first!Wyoming can say that it's 32* and supposed to get to 43* today. 58* tomorrow. Quite the warm spell for us. We're warmer than Florida!

It's snowing outside here

Last time it snowed my son had an accident, bent his rim and popped his tire hitting a curb on the way home from work. A brand new tire. So there went $125 we didn't have. Now he is getting ready to go to work again and it's snowing and blowing

But...It's suppose to be 45 tomorrow

I'm so ready to get outside after all the cold weather we've had this week

Our wind chill was 20-30 below or aleast that's what the weather man said. All i know is that it is cold. We have a heat lamp shining on our galvanized waterer and it mostly stays thawed. The night before last we lost a hen to the cold. We think she got smothered by the others. So yesterday we went out and hung a tarp in the coop on the outside wall and added another heat lamp. This morning all is well. Can't wait for some warmer weather.

now that's cold!

whats so funny is when it's cold like this... i can go to the park right now and all the ducks will be taking a bath and swimming in that ice cold water like it's summer...Lol

OMG - I am FREEZING!! I

just had to lock all my girls inside their coop for the first time ever. Its 8 degrees here and the wind is bone chilling cold. Their waterer even with the heated element below it was frozen on top and had to break that

. Then they started to drink and of course, all of their waddles got wet - so...afraid of those freezing, let them all get their drinks then locked them in the coop where they have heat. Its STILL cold in the coop but at least its 35 in there! Fed them some corn, cooked oatmeal, peaches, pears and cherries before putting them "to bed" for a few hours. Will let them out in a bit to drink again and run about - but geez...

C'MON SPRING!!
