6 eggs a day for this new hen-momma!

4 hens are 6 months old (Brahma, C.Maran & 2 Ameraucana mix)
2 hens are 5 months old (R I Reds)

I was so nervous if they’d lay eggs or not. Now every day I collect the eggs I feel their love and it’s like they’re egg is a gift that’s saying thank you to me for loving them & taking care of them

I love this. You've got a beautiful flock and their gifts to you are beautiful as well! Today is the first day that I collected FIVE eggs from my flock of FIVE pullets! I know the exact excitement you're feeling as it's a great feeling. Every single day I tell my girls, "Thank you!!!" & of course I say it out loud and full of love and gratitude. Thank you for sharing. I was going to post about my eggs today but I already posted 2 other threads, and didn't want to wear out my welcome to BYC (not that I've ever seen anyone treated in any way except kindness, nor has anyone ever made me feel that way). Your post made me smile this evening. I am super excited for you and with you Do you know who is laying which egg? I haven't been able to figure my girls out yet. I'd love to know who is laying those chocolate eggs! All of your girls are gorgeous but barred rocks have a special place in my heart ♥

The choc egg is for sure my cuckoo Maran. She was the first and was laying for a week for the others. I know the little mixed gal is giving the white and my Brahma s giving the pink one. I haven’t figured the other 3 yet!

These youngens are Barred Plymouth Rocks. I was confused for a while but now I see the difference in their striping and feet. The C Maran has pinkish feet.

I LOVE the second picture! Everyone gathered round. Pictures like that always make me smile. How'd it go today, as far as eggs? I am shocked that I collected FIVE eggs again today. Isn't it the best?!?!

a couple days a week I get 5, not 6. I absolutely love this!!
