Came home from getting bloodwork done, and found two more chicks and one more duckling hatched!

I put down the chick with the spinal problem... It couldn't even stand up.

Last of the viable duck eggs just hatched!

Only six more chicken eggs to go, three of which are pipped!

I'm really ticked off right now though. Out of the 12 Chantecler eggs I put in, I had to pull 7!!! This makes the remaining eggs as expensive as the goose eggs I'd gotten. GRRRRRRRR!!!!! I have the seller's name and phone number and think I may give them a call.

No progress yet in the three remaining eggs. Today is officially day 21 though. May put some airholes in them.

That's where the brooder plate sits (I lifted it for the picture), so they probably all backed up to the wall and let fly!

One of the remaining three eggs has pipped. Of the other two, there was movement only in one. I put little airholes in them, and was rewarded with peeping from the one that was still active.

I also did an eggtopsy on the duck egg that didn't hatch. It was a perfectly formed AND marked Magpie. Yolk almost completely absorbed. Bummed out about this.

Little Derpy, the duckling with the deformed bill, is a terror. Lots of spunk. He keeps pecking at the chicks.
