6 week old chick not eating and only sleeping

Yesterday I fed my 6 week old chick as usual, and left him for a few minutes to buy some groceries. When I went back home, I saw him sleeping on the dining chair. And that was weird, because he never sleeps if I leave him alone; he always sleeps if I'm near him. When it was night time, I moved him from the dining chair to his cage. And he was still sleeping. Today I checked on him, and he woke up a little bit and drinking, and he's sleeping again. I'm a little worried because he never did that before. Is it because he is full, so he doesn't eat?

Why is he on a dining chair? Is he inside loose? What's his diet?

Does he go outside in the dirt? Maybe cocci? If very sleepy lethargic I'd treat with Corid for cocci. Hope this helps. Look up symptoms for coccidosis and see if you agree they match. Run to tractor supply and grab corid if you don't already have some. Best wishes
