6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

That was an awesome video!!

One day I was out :weee when I suddenly saw someone that made me go  .  It was :love at first sight.  All I wanted to do was :hugs so I :fl and hoped that she would say :thumbsup .  I tried to look  and :frow at her to which she :) .  I made my approach and did my :bun .

She :lau which made me :hit on the inside but I decided to go for it.  I wanted to tell her my name but instead all I could do was :drool which apparently made her :sick and  so instead of :hugs with me, she :smack so now I  everytime I see someone that makes me go  .  You can call me a :cd but I think I will just stick with my :jumpy :jumpy and we can do the :yiipchick instead.

Heard the saying once...sometimes your the pigeon sometimes your the statue.

ok never had a duck egg either................. so whats the differnce when eating to a chicken?

I hear that duck eggs are better to bake with, they fluff up more. I can't taste a diff but can tell the whites are thicker than chicken egg whites

is that just for duck eggs?
Yes.
Adding, you want to mist the duck eggs when you open the bator, they need more moisture..that will help keep the humidity up..only thing is..didn't you say you had chick eggs in there too? If so, really make it a light light mist.

My friend and I have been incubating some of my girl's eggs at her house. We have 7 in the bator and on day 9 I went over there and candled them and saw nothing, just the yolk, no veins or anything. We are going to put more eggs from my girls in there on Wednesday. I figure we will just let the first 7 go until day after Christmas unless something starts stinking. We have no idea why nothing happened. I posted, but no one really had very much to say about it. I am hoping for more action off these new eggs. I know my girls are fertile, I have checked my breakfast eggs, and the bator is at the right temperature. Who knows. Incubating isn't as easy as it looks.

sorry I just don't know enough to say anything over the matter :) Leave that for the experts :)

so why is this? I mean is it something like the mother duck takes a swim goes back and sits on her eggs again before hatching? sorry probly seems dumb just puzzled

yes, my duck just came out today and went in the pond, ate some food and went right bak on the eggs. humidity by nature!

oh it's fine, maybe someone has an idea. Her kids want to see a hatch. I want to see what my girls babies look like. Hopefully these other eggs do something, otherwise
