6th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2015 Hatch-A-Long

I finally moved my broody to her own broody cage in my garage. She was in a coop with 5 other chickens but I caught a young Cream Legbar cockerel standing on the broody Silkie and I decided it was definitely time to move her for the safety of herself and her eggs. She was very scared being relocated to a new place but luckily she settle right back on top of her eggs. She has 5 days to go.

eggs are now locked down. Humidity is up and all is looking well.

That is a good way to set up the incubator for lockdown.

She sounds like she will be a great Mom too.

I love the incubator!

Did you start a thread for it? A lot of us would follow your hatching adventure.

Thanks! I guess I am nervous about it all coming together and having temp consistent throughout, but this will be the 4th incubator I've built and my others work really well. I hadn't worked on it for a while but finding duck eggs yesterday inspired me. Today I found 3 more beautiful blue eggs behind a fern... I don't know how life could get better than this! I probably won't be able to resist putting them in the incubator.
