So jealous, best Valantines gift ever!

Still no power and It's 29 outside. I put bags of hot water in the bator and brooder to keep the temps up. It's maintaining 93 so far.
I have my fingers crossed for you. I hope the power goes on and you have a good hatch. I apologize if I missed an update on this.
Got another few pips and one that can't decide if he's zipping or doing a *really* good pip.

Nothing beats those black Australorp eyes. ♡

PS - Goodnight and happy New Year to you and yours.

The first one is 3/4 zipped. Can't wait to see what color!!

Ack!! Another!! Popcorn! LOL
SO exciting when they start going crazy with action. Cant wait to see pics!

These chicks are SOOOOOOOO cute! I love the assortment, what are the Blue/silverish looking chicks?
My bator looks like a crime scene! Woke up to 9 hatched (now 10). One has a wry neck and one has a bloody mass, that I assume is the yolk sac that the others have been picking at? There's blood all over the unhatched eggs. Blood all over the bator. Both chicks are in the hatcher in containers. 4 in the brooder, 3 in the bator and the newest in the hatcher so it doesn't get trampled. I see one large pip, but haven't looked closely because I've been a bit busy.
Aw that sounds a little terrifying. I hope they are all well and the rest of the chicks hatch fine with no "crime scene" issues.

Oh, I haven't heard anything from the dented egg so I'll just have to wait and see.
Cant wait to hear on this one. What did you seal the egg with again?

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

All the chicks hatch so far are so cute. I cant wait to see more pics as the days go on. Good luck everyone!

Im still patiently waiting on my broody eggs to show signs of life, I don't dare try to look under her. Not only do I not want to disrupt her, but I kind of like to keep my fingers on my hand lol.

today at noon will be the end of day 22. I have at least one more egg hatching. Several not pipped yet. Still I really want to open the bater and pull out the 15 or so that I have. I was expecting more but the power went out for too long during the night on day 15.

Thanks jgoldy2. I'll PM you a little later. I'm late getting to my chores and it's pouring rain (yay for drought stricken TX). Not sure if it's icing yet, so I want to get my drive to, horse feeding job done.

What does anyone think of this chick? Cull or wait? I have him in a container (which he's gotten out of, so he's pretty strong), on a damp paper towel.

#11 has hatched and #12 is working on it.
