Thanks.The speckled egg is from one of my 7.5 month old Hens actually. The pullets aren't laying yet as they are only 14 weeks old. I should have mentioned that she normally lays creamy brown eggs and this is the first time I've gotten one with speckles.
Pullets are up to a year old. Hens are a year old or older. A 7.5 month old is still a pullet.
The difference is age not when they start laying eggs.

The one that hatched first never gained its strength and sadly died the night it hatched, the third showed the same signs as the first and so she was preparing for the same fate. However, the resilience of the will to survive can not be counted out.Here is her latest post!![]()
