Temperature is not as important now. As they get closer to hatching, the temperature can go down. Thanks Ron!
I pulled the thermometer, but now I'm having thermometer withdrawal. I have checked that thing a gazillion times a day for 18 days and keep going to look at it and having anxiety attacks when it is blank! Since the thermometer that came with it was bad and I couldn't get the cheap hygrometer I got to work right, I am now just trusting everything will work like it is supposed to! Water is in the channels with felt to increase surface area. No condensation in the incubator...yet. Fingers crossed!
What is the name of a good dependable hygrometer that would fit in an eco 20? Does anybody have one?
I hope there isn't a fine for occasionally sticking the spot check thermometer in the hole, cause I will be fined! This is nerve wracking.
95 degrees is what day old chicks are kept at. I have hatched at 97 degrees for the last two days and they did fine.
My Brinsea has a built in hygrometer that connects to a water pump. It keeps humidity at the level I set it to. Works great!
