As excited as Amber is over everyone else's chicks.... She is going to have to take a pill when hers start hatching lmao
i know right!!! wish mine would open more least see beak![]()
hey ron question oh wise hatching guru...............so I was of course reading more for last few hours and my question is this... once they internally pip and begin to transition into breathing real air are they out of the transition stage when they externally pip? and if they have externally pipped is it safe to assume they have transitioned fine to breathing normal?![]()
I may not be getting any. Checked temp yesterday and it was 108.
Have I said I hate LGs.
I once had an old one and when temps went haywire I assumed it was cause it was old. This one is 2 years old and only used twice before.
Wow, congrats!
X2!Crappy, sorry CC.
so when they need air they do the internal pip and when they need more air they externally pip? is there a stage other then hatching you know they have made a safe transition to breathing air? They work on pipping when they need more air. If they still need to absorb yolk, they will sit there for up to 24hours(chicks not ducklings--those booger will sit for a couple of days sometimes) and then zip and hatch.
This is one reason why you want air cells to be developed properly.
