well I cracked three for dinner last night and two of the three were fertile. For youngsters and almost Dec. I think that was good. If anyone needs eggs for the hatch near me in SW Missouri let me know.

Was gonna ask what flavor eggs you had!

@Cynthia12thanks, but mine are not fancy, just egg layers. Two roos Lavender Orpington and EE/buff cross who is the older and more dominant. Hens LO's not laying yet just Barred rocks, RIR, and EE/Buff hens all who are just started to lay in the last month.

But miw I found it later here. So PM me what you are asking. Might be interested if they aren't too high. Just started back to working and it's only part time.

Busy right miw just trying to hang into my birdies. This is my only interest outside my family life.

I have eggs here in GEORGIA ifn ya interested!!

Dutch Durham i am told thats heritage but the bloodline is Enlish large fowl

I am just offering eggs here locally if anyone wanted some. I have never shipped, and figure that is expensive for barnyard mixes. I could try shipping if you pay postage and a couple of bucks for supplies.

I wouldn't know whose lines were who's. I don't really keep up with the heritage thing. I was mostly wondering because I've found most hatchery RIR's are ( roosters) mean and I've seen hens that are mean also.

Also I like the deeper red shade of the heritage that I've seen in person.

I am just offering eggs here locally if anyone wanted some. I have never shipped, and figure that is expensive for barnyard mixes. I could try shipping if you pay postage and a couple of bucks for supplies.

You can ship a Priority box I usually used the medium sized box, used to cost $14.95 as full as you cans tiff them of course that's not always a lot because if the stuffing you need to keep them from breaking). I usually charged about $16.00 fir shipping. I used a lot if newspapers ( picked them up free) and old bubble wrap from shipped stuff I'd orders. I also had a job at one time where I could recycle that bubble wrap ( keep it instead if throwing it away).

You'd have to figure out about what it would cost though for the stuff to pack them up. If you can figure out something let me know might can swing a few bucks.

I can uderstand about some of the RIR roos being mean I have been thru that before too -i raised mine from chicks up except i got my roos from a different bunch of durhams had both from youg one one 1 is 9 months old and 1 is6 months old so far both are still gentle I even have both roos in with 20 hen both are breeding and neither is fighting so far so good and for my hens i can pick them up and pet them I have spoiled them a little tooooo much.

We had 25 hatchery RIR, 3 were roos. 1 was lame and sort of sweet, 1 was dominant and MEAN AS H***, when #1 died (in the line of duty, to a stray dog) #2 became MEAN AS H*** TOO! They would sneak up behind you and "WHAM!" gave my mum a giant bruise on the back of her leg, and if she hadn't been wearing thick jeans there would have been lots of blood I imagine. Only Gimpy ever stayed sweet. They have all since went down the food chain.

Got my cheap chicken incubator today. Hopefully it will do the trick. Egg production is down so I may trade with some neighbors to try and add some new stock.
