7th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2016 Hatch-A-Long

Not sure what it's called, but it sure is cute..handsome.  :)  He really is nice looking.
I think so it is a bit hard for me to see on my phone. It reminds me of split ends. Mine have it.

Here's a picture of my Lavender Rooster is this considered a squirrel tail?
He's just developed this recently
That does not look like squirrel tail to me. It looks to me that he is finishing up his molt and those are some loose feathers that are out of place. Either that, or he has mites and has been roughing up those feathers trying to itch back there.

I hope to get rid of all but about 6 asap. I have not done this before. I set 54 with her since everyone talks about lots of infertile and losses. My young roos only missed two, and no losses before lockdown

Thanks KyTinpusher I'll check for mites. I haven't observed any feather scratching or picking. If he's molting that would explain blanks. Not many feathers around coup.
