Absence makes the heart grow fonder....Set up a little pen for him where the hens can see him and keep them separate from them for a week. Then let him in with the girls. He should start breeding them within a couple of weeks. If not, then separate for a couple of days and then back in for a couple of days until the eggs go fertile.

Totally doing this tomorrow. Man, Hugo's gonna be MAD, lol.

Exciting times! A week ago my broody hatched a lone chick, the brooder is filled with 10 eggs...the other incubator did not arrive on time And there is one egg (that was the broody hens but she left it to care for the other chick) is due any day now...Maybe even today.

Geez, i have not been able to keep up with all the chat on this thread, i was hoping i could..
