Slap me on my wrist and call me naughty, but we moved our straggler chick, #16, out of the stinky incubator and into a little hut. Will be keeping an eye and see how things go. Would some sav-a-chick or nutridrench be helpful here? Syringe in mouth or just a little on the beak? Maybe not for right now, but by this evening.

Shipped eggs? X-ray'd? I'm still hoping mine will hatch.
Found my notes from last year, 99.5 temp rcom and they hatched
Days 22, 23, & 24. Had better hatchrate, but I should have set the temp
Higher @100 this hatch. Too late now.

Still impatiently waiting! :th

So far 15 of 24 have hatched. Had 3 hatch early yesterday and we woke up to the rest this morning. 10 left to go, but they're technically not really due till today anyways (got busy and didn't set till the 12th). Several of the eggs have pipped and or are working on zipping. Really hoping for another 100% hatch. *fingers crossed* Congrats on all y'alls babies and good luck on the ones still coming!

You're puppy has had quite a time throughout his life. Of course, it's all he's known so he wouldn't be aware of being any different or that he's had difficulties in comparison to a dog with no issues. That part would be really hard on hard on you, because you know the difference.  He's very lucky that he has you and your family. It's especially hard with dogs as they get older. They're so close to us. As hard as it is, it's the last kindness we can give them. :)

Our Max is 13 and we are so dreading seeing him getting older because we know one day he'll be gone. We're trying to include him as much as we can and in everything we do. I thought it was sweet that DH wasn't so concerned with us driving through the blizzard to bring the meal for my family side get together...he was worried how Max would be doing at home. He's beginning to lose his faculties and we are extra careful around him. I'm really hoping he can pass peacefully without intervention.

Aww, it's so sad as they get older. We have two that are really getting up there now. A terrier mix (Rocky) who will be 13 next month and a Siberian husky (Dreamy) who is 12. Both still seem healthy but we know their time will be coming. Both have a few tumors that really don't bother them though one of Dreamy's has suddenly started growing faster. Rocky will randomly lose his balance on the kitchen floor then look at us like he's asking why we moved the floor on him. But on the other hand, Dreamy will still run full speed out the kitchen door and jump and slam in to the garage door because she wants outside and I guarantee that if she wanted a cat turd bad enough that she could jump that baby gate in to the bathroom to get one. Rocky will still run like a gazelle across the yard and bark and play when we're all goofing around. But, more and more, they lay around sleeping and dreaming, look around a little confused, or randomly stumble. We know that once one goes, the other will be close behind.

Happy new year, guys! :) I am even more overrun witrh birds now and still have more hatching! I had 8 button quail and 4 coturnix hatch last night alone!

The quail aren't the only new baby birds in the house. Check out these two ugly things(Baby white ringneck doves):

I thought that was some odd dish you were cooking for a moment when I glanced at the little picture on my phone.
