This is exciting advertisement for the Bielies…..How is the laying ability over the longer term…Some breeds lay real well the first year and maybe the second then it becomes spotty, others lay well for several years….Anyone with experience here?

I don't know that that many people have had them long enough to comment on Bielefelders. In general that comment is true across the board for ALL breeds. Pullet lay the best and most eggs their first year..... egg get bigger after that first years molt and egg productions slows. So that cycle repeats EVERY YEAR! The older a bird gets the bigger the eggs.... slower production every year.

So what is the egg production like in the average week for 1.Winter 2.Summer?
