yes, that head spot on male chicks. so then silver really is in the bielefelders? and has not been added recently via outside genetics? so we could possibly find a sport that would pop up sooner or later?

a throw back to earlier breeding. Unexpectedly looks like a previous ancestor from 3-11 generations back. Revert to an earlier type or color. What do you mean by "sport"?
My guess the top two are legbars...based on the darker brown stripe and the fact they are far more prevalent than Bieles right now...So I bought a few chicks(the little white and yellows are crosses we hatched) and will I had chicks I figured I might as well see if there were other breeds that interested me. Are the 2 brown's in the pic's Bielefelders? Hoping so! The black ones I got from the same person must be crosses of some sort. Shame on me for not researching first, but a bit of an impulse purchase. Thanks!
Thread moderator, are we allowed to advertise here? I know some threads threads are threads are fine with it, while others will give you the boot. Thanks.
I love to make my own chicken stock. Do you chop the chicken into pieces?I broth tough ones in the pressure cooker. A few hours and presto! Terrific broth!
Give them some time. Lot's of chicks look like that!I just looked up legbar and they sure do look like that! Sigh.. but still a fun breed to learn about next time for the biel's if that is the case.
