Ralph, your weather sounds brutal. I was supposed to be in Grand Forks this week and refused to go. I'll handle things by phone. I just do not own clothes for weather like that.

My other tom is Romeo and Adam harasses him daily, specialty when I go in to visit. Romeo is my special boy. Adam will be Thanksgiving dinner next year, as soon as I get a son from him to replace him. I like all my birds to be friendly, not nasty jerks.

The 3 mottled blacks and 1 of the Palms came from him. The other palm I got at a swap.
Lol, I seriously doubt that! I actualy sold a trio of them just because I couldn't bring myself to butcher Dinner. He was way too sweet! I kept the two hens with the most white spots

You know they get more white tipping with every molt, right?
I can easily tell my old hen because she has at least twice as much white on her. She is also the most aggressive at eating from anyone's hand, she's just fearless around people and some people are afraid of her because she is so insistent on tasting anything offered to her, even clothing (oh, that shirt is not something you brought for me? my bad . . .).

I can easily tell my old hen because she has at least twice as much white on her. She is also the most aggressive at eating from anyone's hand, she's just fearless around people and some people are afraid of her because she is so insistent on tasting anything offered to her, even clothing (oh, that shirt is not something you brought for me? my bad . . .).

No, I didn't realize that. The two hens that went with Dinner, one had almost no white on her and the other was anti social. The two mottled hens that I kept, Cuddles and Juliet are wonderful. Cuddles will come running to me every time I walk outside (since she's one of my escape artists). She'll wiggle in for a big hug and lately has been squatting every time I touch her lol. Juliet isn't a hugger but she's a taster lol. She likes to nibble on fingers and also grabs shirts, strings, pants, hair, anything that might possibly be tasty or anything to get attention, one or the other lol

I broke down and had to get my incubator hatching fix. I ordered 150 quail eggs. To try and tied me over til my girls start laying in the spring.

all mine are tasters.. none are snugglers.. they pull things out of my pockets and run off w/it
one of the jakes wing slapped me when it first got cold... I was fixing to have a turkey dinner

when I realized he was looking at my gloves... I took one off and let him take it.. he played keep away with the other jakes and then stomped it...

I got it back intact and he no long has an issue w/it and hasn't wing slapped me since.

Oh geez! Mine can't help but fiddle with anything new to them. And yes they will check my pockets. And they are constantly on my heels. Just hanging around. I usually sit in my chair before bedtime & hand out a few treats. Thats the only time they get treats. Funny enough, Annie will go stand by that chair & trill at me. She's figured it out.
