Back to the turkeys. I will try and get a picture of the questionable hen sometimes today. I also noticed another peculiar behavior. The way I have to run my fence is to get it level at the TOP. Then I come back and put wire at the places where it doesn't touch the ground. About knee high on the palms. They will fly OVER 10ft of fence but they will NOT duck (sorry Ralph) under it. Has anyone ever seen there turkeys go under a fence?

Folks,
What type of predator prefers the innards over the carcass? What ever it is, appears that my top roo went toe to toe with it last night and lost. His head was bloody--but intact. None of the carcass meat was touched. What ever it was was big enough to knock down the fence on the way out. I have no idea how it got in.
I was thinking doglike critter, when I read it when you mentioned coyotes I think you nailed it.
They tend to go for the blood rich organs first.
To add insult to injury, I've got a couple coyotes that have been trying to figure out how to defeat the fence. Once I figure out their time table, that threat will end. But I'm still trying to figure out what else I'm hunting...![]()
