A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Flash and I both have. He hasn't responded lately but I know he's trying to get the water out of his house.
I haven't heard from JR since lunch time yesterday when he said water was coming into the house. I am hoping he has a generator or something for power as his electric was out. Still, as I told, @rjohn39, I'm a bit worried. I know he's a grown man, but I will still worry until I hear from him. :D

At the same time, he thought he had lost at least 75% of his birds. I am praying he hasn't lost any, but the water was getting up pretty high (about 3 feet at the time) and I've no idea how bad the storm was for him in general. Hopefully, if the weather has improved, he will find out that he had worried needlessly. I agree that he may be just trying to get water out of his place and salvage everything else he can.

Otherwise, I will be heartbroken for him.:(

prayers for him..
I was thinking of him and what I would do .. best I could come up with was grab a quad of breeders, the dog and take off... leave all the coops open and hope the varmints left too

I could not find JJ jr at bedtime I figured he was playing games on me. My wife and I searched for him. he was with us around 3pm examining the new kittens.

She found him lying in the weeds about 20 yards from the young ones pens. Rigor mortis had set in so he had been dead several hours. The electric fence was off and no signs of attack. He was holding his wings out like he was over heated, I mentioned that to Judy that he wasn;t looking well and was over heated....

I guess I was right. Shame to lose such an unusual colored bird. but he was a poor replacement for JJ, he had no fire in his gut and was a wimp. I doubt he would ever breed. still hate to lose him.

I'm so sorry, Ralphie :(

Sorry Ralph. Yeah...I know...just another bird...but still. I fear heat much more than the cold. It's hard on my birds and dogs.
There was a bit of a punch left in Harvey. The wind was constant & scary. Almost 5 inches of rain. Some flooding and downed trees. My yards are covered with downed branches. Nothing huge but it will take awhile to clean up. Never lost power. Feel lucky compared to most. Birds are fine.
