Some hints... liver was normal color, but quite small. Gizzard was kind of squishy.

My first thought would have been worms...but assuming you ruled that out?

So a friend brought a really sick one year old hen to me to try to save. Of course the first things I think of are worms, coccidiosis, blackhead, and bacterial infections.

Symptoms were:

• Severe weight loss
• Depression
• White poop

Anyone wanna guess what she died of?

Not guessing, just pointing out that animals can and do die of depression.

Blue/grey feathers everywhere today. I knew Daisy was close to molt. Her personality completely changes....Pre-Molt-Syndrom! Try & touch her & she'll toss her head away & squeak. Quite dramatic. However, she still insists upon sitting on my chair arm. Just NO petting! Gosh I do feel sorry them....those big pins are no fun.
