A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Apparently my cream legbars were too delicate to survive our winter, so I just have the one blue egg lady now.
Aw, that's sad. I'm sorry about your CLs. I was gonna say you should get some from Ralphie. Then I saw he posted.
You need tougher legbars.. mine did fine except for rooster combs and toes.
Their toes got frostbit?!

I usually have some roosters with frostbit combs, but I've not seen it on the toes. Granted, our winters are much milder down south here in Indiana.

Roosters are not the smarter gender...unlike himans.

They tend to stand in weird places and not cover their toes...I have several roosters with half their toes gone.. or in the case of “hobbles” his entire feet are missing... guess how he got his name?

Pictures forth coming.

We have a foot-less roo named Frostbite. :lau

Lots of pictures but it's hard to get good ones when they're constantly following you around lol. The penciled group (and a semi-penciled palm)

They look great Aurora!! The variations in color is interesting! They are all so pretty. Seems you have several with lapper potential! But your birds always seem to be sweeties. Are you hatching any tri mottled this year?

Never got out of the 40's today. Frost warning the last two nights. It will be 80 by this weekend. This is getting ridiculous! I was gifted a few baby lady ferns, had to bring them inside. They are barely up and quite tender. They were propagated in a greenhouse. The coonhound could not understand the ferns on the kitchen counter. He's so odd sometimes.

Got 3 turkey eggs today. 1 from a palm/narri x palm tom. She was in and out of nest at least 15 times before she laid.

Got a roof put on my blue slate pen so they now have a 10x20 secure pen to play in.

Lost a couple chicks due to a heat lamp mishap. So I built a map chicks seem to like it.
