I think she is being rude now.. At the very least she should cower and pretend I don’t see her up there.
She sits there, looks around, looks down at me as if she is saying,,”nananana I am up here and you can’t get me”..

Thanks Molpet! Good to know.I have the shock or not. ... at to 2-3 wks old I had one get their head stuck in the 3/4" chick net on the bottom. sometimes at that age they find a spot they can go under it if you have rough ground. Where 2 sections join together I overlap the poles so they can't squiggle through a gap. Year before last, I had issues with chicks jumping up to the line above the chick net and going through the larger holes.
Sometime the older ones get the 'zoomies' and fly around for no reason. Sometimes they end up on the wrong side. If there is a tree or structure near either side of the fence they will fly up on it. Of course they go down on the wrong side.
I have more issues with the 6' field fence that has wooden posts, they like to hop up on top of the posts.
So where are the pictures? So I've had my babies for a week now. The mottled is layed back and in lapper training. She/he will relax & enjoy a snood pet in my lap. The penciled finally quit screaming! Got to the point of just trying to run from me. I can now hold her and she's starting to relax a bit & just stare at me. This is weird, coming from me who has spent a career in a mans industry, but I'm betting the penciled is a hen due to the over dramatics. Spent the first several days just sitting with them. No pressure. Been fun! Remember it's my first time with poults!! So learning/observing a bunch!
