A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Seriously R2elk? I noticed earlier this week it was warmer up by Ralph than it was down here. This weather is beyond me. Are you covering the Gold Nuggets? Oh....I forgot to mention, mine are getting ripe! True to traditional they are still not making it into the house.
There was heavy frost on the truck this morning. I turned the sprinklers on at 3:45 AM so the garden looks good so far but it is colder there than where the thermometers are.

I keep the Gold Nuggets in the greenhouse so that they are isolated in order to get pure seeds from them. They are the only tomato plant that I have had that will not only bloom but will also set fruit at temperatures above 100°F which happens daily in the greenhouse even with the fan going and the doors open. The only time mine make it into the house is when they are being picked for someone else.

Well....if I had three hands I'd do pics! Everytime I reach for the camera, phone, they get flappy. So I just set it back down. More important for them to have a good experience with me right now. I'm probably too cautious with them. Need to get someone to get down here & help me.

So these guys are little over 5 weeks. Can I let them try blueberries? Add o far sl they've had is flock builder mash.
They should still be on turkey starter. Flock builder is too low in protein, lysine, methionine and niacin. It will be fine for them once they are about 12 weeks old. The recommended feed is a high protein turkey or gamebird starter for the first 6 to 8 weeks followed by turkey or gamebird grower for the next 6 weeks after which a 20% protein all flock feed with free choice oyster shell works well.

A lot of people take pics of their flighty turkey poults while they are in their pen. They don't have to be holding their poults while taking pics.

Oh My Gosh!!!

You mean Memphis could take a picture of them, say, in the pen?

Why, that way we could see her babies!!

What a great idea....

Memphis posting baby pictures.. who would of thunk it..

Personally, i had given up on ever seeing the babies.... but I bet she could take a picture somewhat similar to this one i took the other day of my chicks.... which include a rare Dalmatian Toad..

I bet she breaks her fingers, forgets her camera/phone in her other pants before we get a picture.....

( note to all: this post heavily weighted with sarcasm is aimed only at a certain baby picture demanding person living close to where “the King” lived”

The white is 4days older, the blk was supposed to hatch then too but he waited. They are my cx mix meat mutts. The other , in the bowl, is supposed to be a white Cornish, but I think he is a dark Cornish.... Amazing how much faster the mutts are growing
Mom is a CX meat mutt
