That might be too cold huh.
Just a little. I start mine at 90°F measured at the bedding level for the first week. They can seem a little chilled the first day as they acclimate to a nearly 10°F drop from what it was in the hatcher. The fewer there are, the more they can seem chilled and lethargic. Sometimes it is better to start at 95°F for the first couple of days if there are not very many to share the brooder.

There are always people who don't rely on temperature at all but do all their adjustments based on poult behavior. I go by temperature because it saves me a lot of time making adjustments and waiting to see behavior changes.

Well. .I went to lower the lamp and I bumped it. . and the bulb went out. :barnie
My last one too.
So I set them outside until they were picked up. it was 90 out here. They layed down and went to sleep. I feel bad they may have been cold all day while I was gone:(
Anyway. . I have a happy niece.
