A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Ok....I have 6 chickens, four of which are senior citizens. And the three turkeys...Daisy and the two poults. And how do I keep my numbers down? They live in a convent!! LOL
Hi guys. I am 3 months behind in reading. I’ve just been way over busy with some family issues this summer and too much poultry. I can top some of you with these counts.

But I jumped ahead today to see what you are all talking about now, because I’m visiting my daughter in Chicago and I have no chores to do. (We are waiting for her second baby to be born. Any day now.)

Memphis!! Oh no! No Annie? I’m so sorry. :hit

The local fair is this week, and my boy got his application accepted at the last moment! And it's a good thing, he got grand champion turkey female! He placed third in overall female champion of champions in Poultry with his bb bronze jenny, he had named her Poopy, but I told him he had to call her something more appropriate at the fair, so he called her fatty. The other bb turkeys were gaining too fast and they were unhealthy because of unrestricted feed access. I only feed enough so it's cleaned up in 20 minutes or so and make everyone forage for the rest, feed twice a day morning and evening. Judge said if she were 2 weeks older she would have placed reserve champion of champions. That includes fancy chickens! My son is a little guy, and he's 8, so his turkey was practically the same size as himself. Esther was overshadowed by her little brother this year...

Hey guys,
The bearing on one of my tractor wheels came out. :idunno Can I, like, glue it back on? :fl

Okay yeah, I’ve been kinda hard on it. I was dragging the tractor down the hill (all hens, cockerels, jakes/tommies scurrying along inside except one little hen who escaped when I took the water bucket out—she was anxiously scurrying along outside). And the wheel broke. Of course I used it anyway, which prolly didn’t help. We didn’t have much farther to go, though.

Anyway, what kind of glue/welding compound/etc. should I try? I’m thinking JB Weld or similar but I really have no basis for that.
