A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Thanks R2elk. Can't have her flying around the neighborhood. As she was launching herself over the fence, Daisy stood on her toes & started flapping. I actually yelled at her..."DON'T YOU DARE"! But upon retrospect, I believe she was cheering skinny Iris on. Poppy promptly got hysterical. So much drama! Iris was easy to catch. Lapper training does pay off. I could tell she was scared & rather glad to see me.

The egg that was partially zipped had a moving beak sticking out. It was partially shrink wrapped but alive. I popped the top of the egg off and removed the shrink wrap. I then put it under unauthorized incubator number one.
Ohmygoodness that one right at the end... SO adorable! :love

I need to take pix of my pencilled younuns... my guess on the most marked one being a Tom is correct and think I have 2 more pencilled Toms to be. I am pretty sure I have 2 bourbon toms to be as well. I got a few good gobbles out of them but half were piled up in the back area on the roost so was hard to tell who was making what noises. I need to make a larger roost bar now that they’re double the size when I built it, lol. Pics soon...

Also I think my one turkey who is the egg eater has been identified. She has a weird eye shape that’s slightly slanted more than the rest and I call her “b....face hen” lol. She’s also being a turd to the other hens. Waiting for her to finish her molt right now and then might be selling her off as someone’s thanksgiving dinner... sidenote, she ate eggs before the molt and has always had a high protein feed and bugs and oyster shell available.
