A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Good morning everyone it is 6 degrees here’s in the Hudson valley, NY!
Everyone seemed chilly this morning . I’m going to do a search for turkey language I’m wondering if their different noises mean different things like chickens. Belle was having a huge convo with me she followed me to the gate and was still going haha.
The most interesting thing in the world to me is animal communication, I could research it all day. Most interested in Canada goose communication, it’s so hard to find information on it. Maybe I can go live with them and be the Jane Goodall of Canada geese !
I’m pretty sure I saw one of the hatcheries offering Canada geese. Sorry... I can’t remember which.

Seriously though, come to Rapid City. As soon as it’s dark and they can’t see you, you could walk through the front yard of the Catholic Church or the golf course and pick up as many as you can stuff in your SUV in as long as it takes you to carry them over to it. Just be sure to wear your mucky boots.

I used to think they were pretty special. There are just too many now, though. Geese seriously poop too much.

so that’s where all the geese went that the Feds stole my farm to make a goose refuge out of...

I knew they had to be near by because none live in the refuge.

Yup, they all appear to have landed here. Maybe they don’t like all the wolves?

I think,, maybe.. the college edukated city folks they hire to run the refugee haven’t learned. Geese follow the feed.. when they kicked us farmers off our land. And started growing prairie grass.. the geese packed up and left...

and who could have seen that coming?

They are safe in the city and there are grain fields just a few miles away.. plus tourists feed them in the park.
So much high-quality protein going to waste. So many beautiful parks turning into mucky, slimy, bogs-of-eternal-stench. :hit They’re such beautiful birds, but you can easily get too much of a good thing when it comes to untouchable waterfowl.

He’s still here no clipped wing ever. I do want a mate for him I’m 90% sure he’s a boy.

I’ve heard they can get desperate and start trying to mate female birds not their species. Sometimes that doesn’t end well for the unfortunate ladies. Possibly any adult female goose would do if you can’t get the right species, but I may be way off base with that—I’m just speculating.
