The iridescence of Pebbles is due to her being a Red Bronze which is a combination of the bronze (b) and red (r) color genes. The black winged bronze gene (b1) will also cause iridescence. It is not a separate iridescence gene, simply a factor of those color genes.

Ahhhh. We have buff and bronze turkeys here, so b together with r is achievable. Is bronze iridescent on its own?

Ok final count for this weeks hatch 4 turkey

and 4 chicks(no necked necks) so not a total loss but not the best either

I don't believe that Pebbles is a red bronze. Sweet Pea is for sure but Pebbles looks different. I think Silkiesensation told me that her mom was a narri cross but I forget what dad was.
