A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Amazing that most, if not all, pro sports have put the haults on their seasons. Baseball is my sport of choice and they have disbanded spring practice & delayed the start of the season. I'll kind of miss March Madness. I do enjoy that. Going to be lots of withdrawal for some of the hard core sportsmen. Hey....maybe when we rent the van & head to R2elk's... we can institute turkey races. Or have a Project Runway kind of thing! We could amuse ourselves for days!

Update on Panic Buyers - who have now emptied even the local stores' supply of sanitary napkins, tampons, adult diapers, dog pee pads.

REALLY?? Have they also built a bunker??

Heh - if you need those things for more than once a month and/or do NOT own a dog - you have a serious mental issue....... just saying. :gig:lau

This is funny and sad at the same time - but it's going to be fun to watch. :pop

There are already guinea races going on.

Luckily I don't get gifted stinkum. Family & friends know I wouldn't use it. The other thing that will kill my sinuses is poi pouri. I've had to leave all kinds of shops & some folks homes because of it.
Its chilly & overcast. Yet more rain on the way. I'm annoyed. On & off rain all weekend. Its getting ridiculous.
Please tell me it aint so :hit

:gigIt's just simply amazing what panicked shoppers will buy. I pretty much had all my disaster preparedness stuff here in TN and was in VA doing final prep on the house to sell, when a major storm was forecast. You couldn't buy a flashlight anywhere, so I went to the craft store and picked up a few oil lamp bases and wicks, still had the fuel at the house. Problem solved. My plan was simple, lose power, go back to TN.

All Pennsylvania schools have just closed down for the next 2 weeks. We're still waiting to hear if that includes the colleges too. Gov Wolf issued a state of emergency. DD is celebrating, DS is concerned for his high risk friends. I also think he's upset and disappointed that the musical is cancelled for next weekend. They've been working so hard to prepare the show.

Very Sad for him.

What is even more crazy about this panic buying is a LOT of the stuff they're buying will end up in the trash, unused because they don't want to store it once the threat is gone. Those of us who live in the country, generally have a decent stock of what we need for sudden storms because we simply can't get out after one hits. I've been seriously thinking about picking up another pack of TP this weekend, if one's available, not because I need it, but because if this trend continues next month when I do, it might not be there.
