It's a rather gloomy day out today but some of the older ladies wanted out to free range for a while this morning. Eve, Pebbles, Sweet Pea, Cynthia, Nibbles, Molly, Bella and Sky all came out. Bella and Sky are all grown up now and such pretty girls! Bella looks like a mottled blue and Sky, a mottled Slate Pebbles is looking a little scrawny lately. I don't know if maybe old age is starting to get to her as she was always one of my biggest girls. She, Sweet Pea, and Eve are all 6 years old now!

Seen a tom on one side of an uncharged e net fence and a hen on the other. They were trying to breed with the fence in-between them. I didn't think that would work so I eased him in with her. Of course she ran off and later left that pen. He's just pacing at the corner instead of going out the opening 25 ft away. Silly birds

Looks like you got a lapper!

Yep! That's Sparrow. She's more of a lapper in the sense of she enjoys perching on my lap and taking a nap, but gets spooked a little every time I touch her and will start pecking (and missing) at my fingers lol. Her sister is a lapper sometimes, but she prefers to just walk up, stand in front of me and aimlessly try and (gently) peck me.
