A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

How often can you treat them? The 2 that I already had did a corid treatment maybe 3-4 weeks ago after a few of their siblings suddenly died. If I can't retreat those 2 so soon I'm gonna have to figure out where to set up another brooder to separate for a bit.
I treat as needed. Sometimes back to back for all summer if hot and humid.
Lost over 2/3 first summer because I didn't know what it was and then waited to retreat. Doesn't seem to hurt them to get that much.
If you feed soaked or fermented feed, it needs to go in that water too

Omg that's awful

Got corid started again, they all are seeming less lethargic but one of them has been yelling almost non stop since it woke up this morning, which is what one of my originally hatched poults did for 2 or 3 days before it croaked. Also saw a speck of blood in some poop for the first time since I got them. Wondering if I should do a drench on the 3 of them just in case as well. Thoughts?

I do everything in the coop. I figure they all are shedding it in the poop.

Are these coccidiosis poops? I imagine they are because they are showing up pretty frequently daily. Ive had them all on corid for about 2 days now at this point. They arent super lethargic but one is definitely a little less active then the others. Hoping they come around.

My turkeys found there way to the next door neighbors and stayed the night on their porch and ate all there cat food.. 😃 They came back the next morning covered in ticks. This was 2 days ago. I dusted them with DE food grade and this morning all the ticks are gone.

How long after starting treatment should i be seeing improvements? I started them formally 3 daya ago and they havent really improved or declined. They have bouts of being active and bouts of being tired. Still seeing blood in poop. Should I try a different type of medication? Or can it take awhile for the corid to work? I drove an hour and 30 and paid 60 for these guys and love them already and Id hate to lose them because the breeder gave me infected birds :(

If Corid is working, they should start being more active within the same day. There are many different strains of coccidia and alot of them are resistant to Corid (i said that already). Can you get a fecal test ?
