I had a whole new third poult gobble at me today, along with one of the previous offenders.:th

I feel like this is gettting a little excessive.. Is it normal for young poults to try and gobble this much? I feel like every time I refill their food or water and check on them, at least one or two are displaying and trying to gobble.

I know the displaying is normal and I believe meant to be how young poults display dominance, it’s just the gobbling that’s confusing me.

Attempted to make some floating nest boxes to keep the dogs out. It might take a little time to get the hens interested, but a few are exploring them. Put in some bait eggs to encourage the hens.
I made a nest box for the chickens from a large planter. Similar to what you did but I attached the board on the outside which prevents them from rolling.
