A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Found a nom 45 online said it would hold 5500 quail eggs.

Imagine the possibilities.

Where did you find that? I looked all over for info on it.

Is that 220V? I would love to get it, but I think the Polish Woman I live with would do nasty things to me in my sleep, and I might not awaken from them. OR would awaken in pain.

Ohh ,, so Porter has been screaming all morning it's been kinda cool, so I keep gobbling back at him, he seemed mad about something I thought he just wanted more attention.. Well I guess he wanted a different kind of attention because a hen turkey was walking across the field heading straight for him she was a pretty thing and he must have been happy to see her because his head was turning bright blue and he was fluffing his feathers, so I snuck back in the house and was watching from the window. Then the hen took off running for the woods and down swooped a hawk.. OMG I went running out the door screaming and waving my arms then remembered the chickens were out so I went running for the coop and picked up a stick on my way and was waving that, the girls thought i was crazy and ran for the coop. So I put them in lockdown .. Alls I could hear was the girl hen screaming I assume the hawk must have got her. I tried looking in the woods but couldn't see her and I was in my slippers and no coat so finally came back into the house... Poor thing... Now I'm worried about when I let Porter out. Hopefully he is to big to be hawk food. But she was pretty big herself..

I doubt the hawk got the turkey hen. Hawks do not normally hurt adult turkeys. I did have one hen killed by an aerial predator, I assume Hawk, owl or Eagle. but it attacked the predator protecting her babies and her throat was clawed open. She survived the attack but died a couple weeks later, I assume from infection.

Just type in nature form incubator.

Still a company in Florida I think.

Was built to hatch ostrich eggs. So my guess they would be pretty accurate.

I agree, I'm pretty sure that a hawk couldn't pick up a turkey hen! But one could definitely kill one, but I have never had problems with hawks and turkeys, or chickens for that matter.

I used to have a series of photos on a game cam. Of an owl actually taking an adult hen of mine.

I was losing birds so set up a cam and caught the owl. Ten pics over a 2 hour period.

It was neat sequence other than the bird I lost.

SOMEONE STOLE MY TOMS!!!!

I have no idea how, or even when.  I am thinking 3 days ago.

I went out 3 evenings ago to put the Toms  to bed for the night.  They were all in the pen, two were roosting!
Last night I went out and I told them bedtime, and they walked into the coop with no fussy, the one that looked like Porter looked to the side but went in even...

This morning when I went to let them out, they were all in the turkey house.

Tonight I went out stepped off the deck and the turkeys started marching single file into their pen. I did not say a word, they did not look backwards or sideways....

These are nice turkey toms and they look a lot like mine, but they do not have the same attitude mine have.  I have gotten use to the bedtime tantrum and fights.  so

WHO EVER STOLE MY TURKEYS BRING THEM BACK!!

Stepford  wife type turkeys are not for me!

Someone took my Tom too... :hit I miss him so much! Whoever took him didn't touch my hens, just stole my Tom mow hens are desperate for a good mating and keep sitting for me. I had my hen sitting on a nest of her own eggs but the rain leaked in and killed them off, she fell into a great depression so the next day I gathered some duck eggs and put them in a new nest. She soon found them and is sitting on 3-5 developing ducklings and possibly a chick
