A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Feedman...I do miss my girls when I'm on the road. But I have a great chicken sitter. She's just a few houses away. Loves the turkeys. They are easy to deal with, my chickens take advantage of her. She takes good care of them. But boy, my turkeys give me an ear full when I get back.

Since I have lappers, I've noticed a difference in the blue slate & red bourbon feathers. Those new red feathers are so smooth, soft & shiny. Daisy's blue feathers are not as soft and I guess to the color not as shiny. But boy they are pretty.

Aurora.....have you kept any poults? Just curious to see how they are turning out.

Memphis- I haven't kept any poults yet BUT the mottled black, royal palms are in lockdown right now and I'll be keeping them. Maybe not ALL of them (13 on lockdown) but some :)

Quote: $43 in total after shipping. They were marked for $26 for 8 eggs with $17 shipping. I ended up with 14 eggs though so it made the cost easier to swallow.

Still ended up being what folks around me were asking for. Others replied to an ad that I posted asking for some and said that they'd get back to me as soon as they had some but never did. So they never got my money. Bad for them. We'll see how things turn out.

On a side note, my hubby didn't wait until I moved my silkie inside before he started working out in the run to demolish one of the coops and it broke her broodiness. Oh well. So I won't have a momma for my poults.

LOL,, I did not buy the one I posted the ad for yesterday.

I found another 1202.. which is way more in my price range.

I also have extra parts for it, trays and so on. I have a heating element, thermostats, electronic thermostat, switches and so forth incase it fails. And how in the world would I ever fill two 1202s?
