A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Justdishy: sorry about the loss of your hen to a predator. I lost a few last year so I know how that feels.

Coffee: glad to hear you have porter now. Hoping you 2 become good pals soon.

Aurora: cute story about the little boy. It's nice when young ones can get introduced to birds and enjoy them. The eggs you have in your hatcher so jealous.

Memphis: hope you had a good time on vac. And showing your dogs. How did you make it without the girls? Skype/facetime in their coop.

JadedPhoenix: nice selection of eBay eggs. Wish you the best of luck with them. My luck with eBay eggs is iffy but that's just my luck.

Ohh ,, so Porter has been screaming all morning it's been kinda cool, so I keep gobbling back at him, he seemed mad about something I thought he just wanted more attention.. Well I guess he wanted a different kind of attention because a hen turkey was walking across the field heading straight for him she was a pretty thing and he must have been happy to see her because his head was turning bright blue and he was fluffing his feathers, so I snuck back in the house and was watching from the window. Then the hen took off running for the woods and down swooped a hawk.. OMG I went running out the door screaming and waving my arms then remembered the chickens were out so I went running for the coop and picked up a stick on my way and was waving that, the girls thought i was crazy and ran for the coop. So I put them in lockdown .. Alls I could hear was the girl hen screaming I assume the hawk must have got her. I tried looking in the woods but couldn't see her and I was in my slippers and no coat so finally came back into the house... Poor thing... Now I'm worried about when I let Porter out. Hopefully he is to big to be hawk food. But she was pretty big herself..

Found a nom 45 online said it would hold 5500 quail eggs.

Imagine the possibilities.

That  is what some of you need!

Look how many eggs it holds in the second picture.

I tired to find info on it but could not find any.

Now that is an unbelievably huge incubator! I don't have the hen power to fill that thing up lol. But then again, I said I wouldn't be able to fill this cabinet up and look what happened!

Hopefully she was just screaming her anger and frustration over having to run away from such an attractive tom. I'm glad you managed to get your chickens all locked down. Mine would've run anywhere but the coop :/

I bet the hawk didn't get the hen. I think Aurora is right....she's just mad. Funny how it didn't take Porter long to find a girlfriend!

Coffee: I can't remember does porter have any girlfriends or is he by his self.

I have several hawks around have lost a chicken to them but never a full grown turkey hen. Maybe just been lucky.

I would say should be ok from the hawk.

Lost several half grown birds to owls.
