Lol, I'm already under her spell...every afternoon, I take her outside to swim in a little tub but I have to take Mira (the little pullet that's in with her) too or she'll panic and not swim. I have to hold Mira right by the water so she can be seen lol. Spoiled rotten little brat already!

Turkeys go where ever they want
 
My turkeys better know how much I love them. Tonight was my daughter's first night of dance and we didn't get home til after dark. Of course, 5 of them weren't in the coop. I spent about a half hour figuring out which trees they were in, chasing them out and print them back in the coop. There were 3 in one tree, one in another, and the hardest one to find was in the chicken run roosting. I got them all in and put away before it started to rain but I got stuck in the rain finishing up. They drive me crazy! But I love them lol.
 
I have to cut down on birds soon. I have no idea what will be my breeders next year.

The Porter gang are all PITAs. They wander where I do not want them, they refuse to go to bed when I tell them too. It is a true cluster, well you know what, when I try to put them to bed. A couple like to go over the pen instead of in it. When I am rounding them up, a few more come out and go the other direction. It is a 3 person job to get them all in bed. Last night I had to grab two of them and carry them in. The cried and screamed like I was killing them.

They are so stupid they go in for a drink of water and they forget how to get out, so they walk back and forth screaming for the rest of the gang to come to them. You would think they are half guinea they are so stupid!

While my predator problems have let up they are not completely gone. I had one guinea hen that decided to go broody a week ago. She was in my garden under the squash. last night something got her but left her eggs. She only had 4, I am giving them to the future Mrs Holms. (Holms has not meet her, but I know these things)..


if I could get them married off to each other, I would never run out of a place to get rid of my birds. Besides some places 14 is consider too old to not be married...so,,,,,,,,,,,

I hope the eggs hatch for her. I have no idea how cold they got before I put them in the incubator, but I have had cold eggs hatch before, it is a crap roll..........


I saw Ethel Jr from a distance today and ran over to her, I thought it was Ethel. It was not. Wishful thinking is all..


Sidekick tried to commit suicide, somehow he managed to get out of the pen at bed time when one of the hens was doing her PITA dance around the coop. I Was happy I had them all to bed and I looked up and Sidekick was going towards the brooder shed. Idiot! When I ran him back he was all Po'd like I was the PITA and not him! Then he got the whole flock to yell at me..Turkeys!
