That's VERY good (even better if you're getting him girls lol). Mine need to be lured in the coop every evening but it's not that hard (with the girls anyway) Adam is still learning about going in at night since he wasn't raised here.

That's awesome! I'm gonna start looking for some girls, I think he'd like that (And so would I, lol!) The first few days he was out I put him up just to be sure. Then one night we were gone, came home, and there he was, sleeping in his house

He's done it ever since!
The chickens, however, had to be plucked out of trees and put in their coops

I have to carry my bourbon red (Basil) into the coop every night, she is starting to get heavy!

They roost on my pigeon cage (7 feet up) and I have to climb up there every night, put Basil on my shoulders, shoo down the RP (still unnamed) and then jump down with a turkey on my shoulders!

My royal palm follows Basil everywhere but is still nervous of people so she just jumps down from the pigeon cage and follows me to the coop.

That's hilarious! I can picture that, and it's rather entertaining! I'm glad Griffin prefers his dog house to roosting, lol!

LOL yeah it is pretty funny jumping off the pigeon cage with a turkey, the poor pigeons get so scared!

My chickens always put themselves to bed when they free range, and so do the guineas usually! Tonight there sleeping in a tree! The turkeys want to sleep on the coops roof at night now, so whenever there free ranging I have to go on the roof herd them down( or just bring some feed which I've been doing!) and herd them in to their coop. Sorta like your turkeys on the pigeon coop, lozuufy!

I think Daisy would sleep in my lap all night if I let her. Ok, so there spoiled. But they are so funny I can't resist.

My chickens also coop themselves. Even the outcast roo returns to the coop with everyone on his own at night. Finally, the babies have also decided to put themselves away on their own. I was getting tired of crawling under the coop every night to catch them and put them in.

Lol spoiled turkeys. My lap bourbon red turns in to a belly button and starts strutting and makes cute little hinny noises like a horse! Her version of gobbling!!! And then she tries attacking my feet, and if I catch her she turns in to a cute lap!!!!!!!

Hey fellow turkey people!
I got my first turkey about a month ago, and I have kinda a weird question...
Long story short, he was sold as an RP, but is acctually a Sweetgrass. Beautifual sweetgrass, I'll get some pics soon. He was supposed to be five months old, he was two months old.
I payed $25.00 for him. Did I win with this deal, or is that no good for a two month old sweet grass?
He's a very sweet jake, and I'm happy with him either way. Just curious if I was cheated or ended up on top. Never gonna breed, so don't really care what he is :-D

Welcome to the turkey fun. What state are you in? I have (actually had) a Sweetgrass pair (the birds in my avatar) until Miss Cleo up and died on me. Not entirely sure what she got sick from either. Now I have only Mr. T-Bone who's my Sweetgrass Tom. I've been working on a quarantine pen lately so I can get him a couple more girlfriends so he won't be so lonely. I think I paid $25 a piece for my birds as well. It all depends on supply and demand type thing for your area. Around here Sweetgrass are really hard to find for some reason, don't know why since they are such a beautiful bird.
