A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Yeah...I can see a SS getting jealous. But wow, a CLB? They love ya Ralphie. So what about Snitch? Are you working with her?

Was thinking maybe you could provide a spot for Snitch where your show birds are housed. Just let her free range in there! Her and maybe a few toms....they will be lappers by the time you show them!

Wow!! Hatching already? Do you have a market up there this time of year for chicks?

Show birds need to be hatched as close to the first of the year as possible. If the fairs are in July and August that is 6-8 months growth on them.

The show the other day would have been way different had I had a couple more months on them.

The weather has not been great for sitting out and holding snitch..BUT hopefully I will get enough time soon.

I am getting ready for hatching in a few weeks.

I'm already ahead of you! I have 10 Littles in the brooder in my room ranging from 2-4 weeks old and I'm saving silkie eggs to incubate lol.

Don't mind my messy brooder. They're ready to move on to the bigger one. There's 3 Ayam cemani, 4 CCL cockerels, 1 CCL pullet, 1 BCM, and 1 wheaten Marans x RIR

OMG Aurora! Already? And, I might add, how nice to see baby pics!

When are you guys starting to hatch poults? Anyones girls laying yet? I think Daisy is thinking about it. Based on her behavior. I think Feisty was thinking her girls might be getting close.

Yay - baby pics are starting already! Just what I needed to see :).

Aurora - the babies are adorable.
Ralph - we expect pictures when yours start to arrive. I hope you have time to work on teaching Snitch the benefits of being a lap-sitting turkey soon.

Coco hasn't stopped laying yet. I keep thinking she's done, but she keeps putting out an egg every 5 days or so. I would like her to molt and get it done lol. Big Bird shows no signs of laying and is apparently taking it easy until spring :D

Long weekend is coming.... can't wait to see the birds in daylight a few days in a row and get them out to run free! Hoping the weather cooperates.

I'm betting Daisy will be laying within a month. Annie, I can't tell. I will say, the girls are loving this brisk weather! They act like a couple of silly poults zooming & flapping around the yard.
